Product Information What is StableComfort? StableComfort is a 2-piece system. The first component is a multi-celled mattress filled with uniformly sized rubber crumb. This rubber crumb provides the mattress with its high level of comfort and its shock absorbency. The second component is the one piece top covering. The top cover is made from an industrial strength geotextile and impregnated with a vulcanized rubber compound, that not only adds to the durability, but also makes it a non-draining, non-absorbent system. The top cover is fastened to the stall walls ensuring that it stays in place and that no bedding or waste gets underneath the system.   How does it work? Indoors or outdoors, standing or lying down, horses are constantly in contact with a surface. The makeup of that surface has a dramatic impact on the animal's comfort and welfare. Outdoor pasture, the natural environment for the horse, is both resilient and comfortable. Stable floors are hard and unforgiving, requiring several inches of bedding material to create a suitable environment. This amount of bedding is unnatural and can intensify dust-related health problems. It's also very costly and makes stall cleaning labor-intensive, consuming valuable time that could be spent working with your horse, rather than working for your horse.
